Acknowledgement of Country

Held Perinatal acknowledges and honours the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and specifically the Traditional Owners of the Gold Coast lands — the Kombumerri, Mununjali, Wangerriburra, and other family groups within the Yugambeh language community.

They have maintained their connection to this land for thousands of years, long before it was known as the Gold Coast.

We also humbly offer our deepest respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to Elders who extended their knowledge in the past and those who guide us now.

We recognise and celebrate that Birthing on Country occurred for many thousands of years and we acknowledge the incredible significance of Birthing on Country for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. We extend our respect to their resilience, knowledge and profound connection to Country.
